1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sismo Platform (“the Platform”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and any applicable laws. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, such as enrolling in courses or bootcamps, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (username and password).
• All activities conducted under your account, whether authorized or not.
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach at support@sismoplatform.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

3. Course and Bootcamp Access

Upon purchasing a course or bootcamp, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the content for personal, non-commercial use. This license does not permit:

• Sharing, distributing, or reproducing course materials without written permission.
• Using content for commercial purposes or public display.
• Transferring your license to another individual or entity.

Access to purchased content is provided for the lifetime of the course or bootcamp, subject to our discretion to update or retire content.

4. Payments and Refunds

Payments for courses and bootcamps are processed through secure third-party providers. We accept major debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and digital payment platforms (e.g., PayPal, mobile money, where available). All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.

Our refund policy is as follows:

• Single courses: 7-day money-back guarantee, provided less than 20% of the content has been accessed.
• Bootcamps: 14-day money-back guarantee, provided less than 20% of the content has been accessed.
• Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after approval. Contact support@sismoplatform.com to initiate a refund request.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including courses, bootcamps, videos, text, images, and software, is owned by Sismo Platform or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Copying, sharing, or redistributing Platform content without permission.
• Using the Platform for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Attempting to bypass security measures or access restricted areas of the Platform.
• Posting or transmitting malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
• Harassing, abusing, or threatening other users, instructors, or staff.
• Impersonating any person or entity, including Sismo Platform staff.
• Using automated tools (e.g., bots, scrapers) to extract data from the Platform.

7. User-Generated Content

If you submit content (e.g., reviews, forum posts, or project submissions), you grant Sismo Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content for purposes related to the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with these Terms and does not infringe on third-party rights.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms.
• Fraudulent or abusive behavior.
• Non-payment or chargeback disputes.
• Legal or regulatory requirements.

Upon termination, your license to access content will cease, and you must stop using the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sismo Platform, its affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service causing the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

11. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time without prior notice. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from your use of the Platform shall be resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or class action proceedings.

14. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., payment processors). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties. Use them at your own risk.

15. Force Majeure

Sismo Platform shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, technical failures, or legal restrictions.

16. Community Guidelines

When participating in forums, discussions, or bootcamp interactions, you agree to:

• Be respectful and professional in all communications.
• Refrain from posting offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
• Comply with instructor and moderator guidance.

Violations may result in removal from community features or termination of access.
